San Antonio Personal Trainer Makes Training Available For Everyone In the Gym and on the Internet

August 9, 2004 -- When Dallas Cowboy Pro Bowl Linebacker Dexter Coakley wants to gain some muscle or lose a little body fat, he knows Boyd Myers is just an email or phone call away.

Personal Trainer Boyd Myers trains individuals from all walks of life, including athletes, post-natal mothers, executives, and dancers. After ten years in the United States Air Force, the non-commissioned officer is walking away from a potentially lucrative career in computer programming to focus on his true passion full-time: helping people get into shape any way he can.

"I absolutely love helping people reach their fitness goals, and I'm making myself assessible to any individual that is ready to change their physiques and their lives," stated Boyd.

Boyd trains individuals at Red's Gym in San Antonio, on all of the San Antonio military bases, client homes, and even via the internet by using an extensive library of video demonstrations of exercises. This enables Boyd to train folks in San Antonio and around the world. He also includes full diet and nutrition planning for each of his clients.

"I'm a different type of trainer, in that I teach you not to depend on me to be there for every workout you have," said Boyd. "A personal trainer can be expensive. My goal is to make you as independent of me as possible, and to do that, I try to make each session a learning experience. I provide several different programs to help people get into the shape you want to get in at a price that most anyone can afford."

Originally from small Harlan, KY, Boyd joined the Air Force in 1995 to see the world. Soon after, he began training others at Gold's Gym in Montgomery, AL, and has been helping people ever since. Currently, Boyd has over 50 online clients on six continents, and several in-gym clients in and around San Antonio, including Dallas Cowboys Pro Bowl linebacker Dexter Coakley.

"People ask me if I prefer training one group of individuals more than another. While I definitely enjoy making athletes faster and stronger, I get the same pleasure helping a new mother fit into clothes she didn't think she'd ever wear again or seeing one of my clients compete in their first bodybuilding competition."

Boyd is certified as a Fitness Trainer, Performance Nutrition Specialist, and Specialist in Sports Conditioning through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).
